The Hydrorider Aqua bike Professional is a unique
aquatic indoor stationary bike made out of rustproof marine stainless steel AISI
316L, which allows you to pedal while immersed in the water and take advantage
of the many benefits of the aquatic environment. Unlike indoor based cycling
frames, the Hydrorider resistance is determined by four paddle wheels that are
adjustable on three levels. The further the paddle is pulled out, the greater
the surface volume of water taken in; thus the resistance is greater. Increasing
RPM’s through acceleration also increases resistance, which is a key component
in aquatic conditioning. Additional challenges may be met by changing seat
position and intervals or power pull techniques.
The bike has state-of-the-art features to custom fit everyone. It has fore and
aft seat and stem adjustments for the handlebars. Bases are extendible to place
each participants body in the optimal position in the water, with the level
between waistline and chest. For maximum results it is recommended to use aqua
gym shoes (available from Hydrorider upon client’s request).
The Hydrorider Aqua bike Professional requires low to no maintenance. It was
designed and engineered to resist the most demanding situations that
professional fitness equipment must bear during their life time. It weighs 53
pounds (24 Kg) and is easily wheeled to the pool and handed to someone in the
water. It can be stored in the water or left on the pool deck. The bases have
double non skid rubber protection for better floor adhesion and protection.
